Anderson takes the victory at Road America
Adam Sturgill showed dominance in practice and the early stages of the race gaining a comfortable lead on David Schildhouse and William Anderson. But with a mistake on track and on pit road he quickly fell behind. A pit road speeding penalty put Schildhouse out of contention of this cautionless race. William Anderson took control of the race and didn't let up. Stugills speed allowed him to catch back up, but the tires were just too worn and Anderson took the checkered with a comfortable lead over Sturgill in second. Floyd Compton ended up finishing third ahead of Schildhouse.
Turn two proved to be the place for action at Richmond! Take a look at some of these nice sideways shots!
Two in a row for monge
Cameron Hearn was showing to be the dominate car in the early stages of the USUK_FIREDEVIL 115. Hearn had a mistake on pit road under the first caution on lap 49 sending him back a few spots giving Tony Monge the lead and then shortly there after having engine trouble ending his race. Monge went on to lead at least most of the remainder of the laps and win the race! A hard charging Ringler was hoping to make a comeback after last week but coming up short in second with Derek Garrison finishing third. There was a total of four cautions in the race, one of which sending Danny Rodgers airborne. He was unable to continue to race along with Josh Mayeu and Evan Keyse who were also involved in the accident. The others involved were able to continue with minor damage.
Martinsville had some ups and downs, but there were still some great shots to capture. We relive some of the best moments from the race as we head to Richmond Raceway for round two of the short track showdown!
